  6. 1-2-3 for Windows, and LHArc Version 2.11.

  8. The files in this archive enable you to enhance Norton Desktop for Windows
  9. by adding the ability to view Paradox 3.5, Lotus 1-2-3r3, Lotus 1-2-3 for
  10. Windows, and LHArc 2.11 files with either the View Pane or with the
  11. stand alone Viewer.
  12.  
  13. The files in the archive, and a brief explanation of what they do, are as
  14. follows:
  15.  
  16. READ.ME        {This file}
  17. SS.DSP         New display engine required to support new viewers.
  18. PDX.PRS     Paradox 3.5 parser for viewer.
  19. L123.PRS     Lotus 1-2-3r3 and Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows parser for viewer.
  20. DBASE.PRS     New DBASE.PRS compatible with new display engine.
  21. MSEXCEL.PRS     New MSEXCEL.PRS compatible with new display engine.
  22. ZIP.PRS     New LHArc parser.
  23. NDWUPD.DLL     New DLL to support integration of new files into 
  24.             the Norton Desktop for Windows.

  26. To install these new viewers, follow these steps:
  27.  
  28. 1. Unzip the file and copy all of the files from the archive to your NDW
  29. directory.  In all cases where a file of the same name already exists in
  30. your NDW directory, you should overwrite it with the new file from this
  31. archive.
  32.  
  33. 2. Load the NDW.INI file from your WINDOWS subdirectory into a text editor
  34. and make the following changes:
  35.  
  36.     a. Add the following lines to the [Viewer-Filemap] section:
  37.  
  38.         DB=PDX.PRS (If you are installing the Paradox Viewer.)
  39.  
  40.         WK3=L123.PRS (If you are installing the Lotus 1-2-3R3 
  41.                  and Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows Viewer.)

  43.     b. Add the following line to the [Viewer-Parsers] section:
  44.  
  45.         PDX.PRS=Paradox
  46.  
  47. 3. If you made these changes from within Windows, you will need to
  48. re-start Windows for the new Viewers to take effect.
